During the 1970s, high-end dress watches began to move beyond the conventional round case, embracing distinctive forms such as tonneau, cushion and oval shapes. The Vacheron Constantin Ref. 2093 presented here is a quintessential example of this era's sculptural approach to gold dress watches.

Its 18K yellow gold case features softly rounded sides that taper gently toward the top and bottom, creating the distinctive C-shaped profile popular from the 1960s through the 1970s. The restrained lugs blend seamlessly into the case, giving the watch an exceptionally fluid silhouette. Viewed from the front, it resembles a “golden pebble” naturally polished by time—full, smooth and warm, with a remarkably comfortable presence on the wrist.

The dial maintains a minimalist aesthetic, pairing slender baton hour markers with a simple two-hand display. Its glossy surface reflects light with a soft, understated warmth, complementing the rich tone of the 18K yellow gold case and enhancing the watch's unmistakable vintage character.

Inside is Vacheron Constantin's Caliber K1014 manual-winding movement, valued for its slim, stable and finely constructed architecture. Measuring only around 6mm in overall watch thickness, the movement allows the generously rounded gold case to remain elegant and wrist-hugging in actual wear.

The movement has been fully serviced by Nicky Sir and is running accurately. The watch comes with a one-year service warranty from our studio.
