The Patrimony collection represents Vacheron Constantin’s classical dress watch aesthetic, inspired by 1950s minimalist watch design. We feature the Ref.81160, an evocative early 2000s Patrimony. Unlike today’s streamlined modern iterations, this vintage model keeps old world details that evoke the golden age of dress watches.
Its dial bears classic vintage character. While current Patrimony versions use baton indices and bead minute tracks, this Ref.81160 has partial Roman numerals for the ceremonial feel of traditional Geneva dress watches, paired with slender quill style hands. Rather than large bare surfaces, the 6 o’clock small seconds sub dial creates a neat, balanced layout. At 35 mm, the case follows the traditional sizing of vintage men’s formal watches.
This timeless styling continues on the case back. The display back reveals the manufacture Cal.1400 manual wind movement with Hallmark of Geneva. Its signature undulating bridge beside the crown wheel is perfectly framed by the case back window, making this compact calibre a pleasure to view.
