Founded in 1858 at Paris’ Galeries du Palais Royal, Boucheron is a legendary French high jewellery maison. The brand began watchmaking in 1885, blending fine jewellery aesthetics with watchmaking craft and establishing a unique position in 20th century horology with its jewellery driven timepieces.

Designed by Gérard Boucheron, the iconic Reflet collection launched in 1947. It embodies post WWII retro minimalism and Art Deco geometry, representing one of the house’s most recognisable creations.

This Ref.25519 is a limited factory special piece manufactured 1990 1995. Unlike mass produced striped Reflet models, examples surface very seldom on the market, holding great aesthetic and collectible appeal. Its sculptural 25×32 mm square 18K yellow gold case delivers warm gold tones and crisp lines, making this a sophisticated unisex wearable jewel.

At its heart sits a translucent enamel dial fired at 800°C, rendering a deep, velvety Burgundy tone evoking aged Burgundy wine. The luminous glaze has preserved its original sheen across decades. Eschewing hour markers for minimalist negative space, only two solid gold hands remain, shifting focus from time telling to pure jewellery watch artistry.
Fitted with scratch resistant sapphire crystal and powered by a dependable ETA manual wind movement, it marries artistry and practicality. Rejecting excess ornamentation, this vintage watch channels understated French luxury, distilling mid century Parisian refinement onto the wrist.
