In the world of the Reverso, the signature reversible case and dual-time display are a natural pairing: two dials, two time zones, each with its own identity. The Reverso Tribute Duoface Moon Ref. Q3958420 takes this classic Duoface concept a step further by incorporating celestial indications. The front displays the waxing and waning moon, while the reverse shows the sun and moon alternating with the second time zone, evoking the timeless imagery of “The sun and moon in motion, as if emerging from it; the Milky Way shining, as if born within it.”

Each side of the Ref. Q3958420 offers a distinct aesthetic and function. The front features a silver-grey grained dial displaying the main time zone, moon phase and a pointer date surrounding the moon-phase aperture. Flip the case over to reveal a deep blue Clous de Paris dial, displaying the second time zone alongside a day/night indicator.

Both sides retain the unmistakable vintage character of the Reverso Tribute collection, which pays homage to the original 1931 Reverso. Signature design elements include three horizontal decorative lines on the upper and lower case, along with applied trapezoidal hour markers, dauphine hands and railway-style minute tracks on both dials—an elegant expression of the original Art Deco aesthetic.

The watch is powered by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 853A manual-winding movement, which drives both dials and integrates the dual-time, date, moon-phase and day/night functions. Comprising 223 components and measuring just 5.15 mm thick, the movement demonstrates Jaeger-LeCoultre's expertise in creating sophisticated mechanisms within the Reverso's distinctive rectangular architecture.
